She was a CNA for five years prior to receiving her RN. She has been a nurse for eight years. She has a 12-year-old daughter, Kyndall, a 19-year old son, Zachary, and an 8-month-old Australian Shepherd, Hemi. Amanda loves being outside swimming, fishing, painting, decorating, singing karaoke, and dirt bike racing in her free time. Amanda says the best part of her job is “I have a special place in my heart for memory care patients. The most rewarding moments have included someone who may not remember what day it is or what is going on, but they seem to find comfort in my familiar face and that’s what it’s all about.”

Candice Nurse at Elizabethtown Nursing and RehabCandice has been a nurse for 25 years. She has held many different positions such as SDC, CNA Instructor, PCA instructor, and CPR instructor. Candace says the most rewarding part of her job is, “If you can help one resident to smile and have a better day, it’s worth it.” Her favorites things to do outside of work are fishing, camping, yard work, and visiting her precious grandchildren.
