Short-Term Therapy Success

Mrs. C. was admitted to our facility following a hospitalization due to a fall that resulted in a brain injury. Upon admission, she was evaluated by physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Initially, she required assistance with all mobility tasks, including bed mobility, transfers, and walking. She also needed support with activities of daily living such as toileting hygiene and getting dressed. In addition, she experienced some difficulty with memory and safety awareness.
Through her hard work and dedication in therapy, Mrs. C. made remarkable progress. With the support of all three therapy disciplines, she improved her strength, independence, and confidence, allowing her to safely perform the skills needed to return home. Mrs. C. was able to discharge home with her significant other at an independent level.
She was a joy to work with, and our team is thrilled to see her return home and continue her recovery.
