Short-Term Therapy Success Story

Christina S. admitted to Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab following a brief hospital stay related to a fall. Upon arrival, she was evaluated by both physical and occupational therapy. At first, Christina required significant assistance with mobility tasks such as getting out of bed, transferring, and walking, as well as everyday activities like dressing and applying her knee immobilizer.
Throughout her stay, Christina made steady and impressive progress. She gained strength, confidence, and independence as she could eventually be seen walking throughout the facility with a rolling walker and moving in and out of bed without help. She also regained the ability to dress herself and complete all personal hygiene tasks independently.
By the time of discharge, Christina was able to safely return home with her rolling walker and support from her family. Her determination, positive attitude, and hard work made her an absolute joy to have in our facility. We are proud of her accomplishments and wish her continued success in her recovery.
