Short-Term Success Story: Kelta!

success story written in white chalk on a black chalkboard which has a purple wooden border.

Kelta admitted to Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab in need of therapy assistance. She began working with speech therapy right away as she was struggling with swallowing and was placed on an alternate diet. It was super important to Kelta to strengthen her muscles and return to a regular diet, which she did, after many hours of hard work! Kelta also worked on her mobility journey with physical and occupational therapy to improve ambulation and activities of daily living skills. After a slow start, Kelta began improving and was able to become more independent. Through lots of hard work in the gym and much determination, she was able to regain some of her independence within the facility. She is now able to walk with the assistance of her walker, among other tasks such as getting herself dressed each day. Kelta is happy to call Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab her new home, where we will continue to follow her and promote her to be as independent as possible. Great job Kelta, we are so proud of you!
