Short-Term Success Story: Mary C.

success story written on chalkboard with purple wood border

Mary C. admitted from the hospital to Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab following a car accident. Upon admission, Mary was evaluated by physical, occupational, and speech therapy. She began working with PT and OT to increase her strength and mobility. Physical therapy worked on getting out of bed and walking safely. Occupational therapy focused on her activities of daily living which included dressing, bathing, and bathroom safety. Throughout Mary’s hard work with therapy, she became more independent and was able to successfully return home with her daughter. Mary holds a special place in our hearts as she was not only here for short-term rehab but is also a member of our dietary department and works in our kitchen. We wish her a full speedy recovery and cannot wait for her to return to our team.
